The Aviemore Family Hostel and Independent Backpackers' Bunkhouse offers new and imaginative standards of high value, quality accommodation. This is a purpose-built, environmentally conscious, property sleeping up to 44 guests in a variety of room layouts accommodating from two to eight people.

Kilmory Lodge Bunkhouse is in a beautiful and tranquil setting on the Isle of Arran, off the west coast of Scotland. It is a modern, comfortable bunkhouse purpose built to accommodate groups of 15 and over, to a maximum of 23.

Completed in May of 2005, the building is attached to Kilmory Village Hall. Groups using the bunkhouse have the option of using these extra facilities that the Hall offers. We have a spacious hall/auditorium and other meeting rooms which can be used for rehearsals, lectures or similar activities.

Groups using the bunkhouse this season have included extended family parties, a choir, a team building company, concertina workshop party, and several outdoor adventure groups including walkers, climbers and cyclists. We can offer a versatile venue to suit all.

Unfortunately it is not possible to accommodate stag parties. Sorry.

Local Walks: There are also plenty of local walks for all standards and abilities in the area, there are 16 of these for Aberfeldy / Pitlochry on the notice board, there are also laminated copies available to use in each Bunkhouse. These show walks around; Linn of Tummel / Glen Tilt and Blair Castle / Camserney and Loch Farlayer and of course The Birks of Aberfeldy. Walking from The Bunkhouse you can take a meandering strole up to Farragon Hill or just take some more leisurely localised walks along the sides of the burns and discover secluded waterfalls and a host of natural and sometimes rare flora / fauna and wildlife. Something for all the family to enjoy.

Fell End consists of two 18th century buildings; the Schoolhouse and Greenslack. Upgraded in 2000 to provide comfortable bunk-house accommodation for people wishing to explore this beautiful and remote area, which overlooks the unspoilt splendour of the Howgill Fells. Fell End is ideal for mixed groups or families and people with disabilities. Walking, cycling, canoeing, caving are options nearby plus the Lake District is only 20 miles away; lots of scope for relaxing and having fun. The Schoolhouse (white building) sleeps up to 8 people in bunks in the central communal area, plus an extra bed in an adjoining room. The bathroom consists of two toilets, one electric shower and 4 wash basins. Greenslack provides a further 2 bunks and 1 single bed plus a bathroom specifically designed for people with mobility difficulties. All beds have a covered mattress and pillow. The main feature in the living room is a beautiful multi-fuel-burning stove, which also heats the radiators. There is a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, microwave and electric cooker. Entry is by a touch lock system. Dogs are allowed but only under strict supervision. Fell End is owned by the Bendrigg Trust, a charity offering outdoor activities for disabled people.

Comfortable bunk house facilities for up to 10 people in converted barn. Immediate access to the Long Mynd for walkers and cyclists. Within easy reach of the busy town of Church Stretton and all its facilities. The All Stretton Bunkhouse is open from 5pm - 10:30am, every day of the year. There are three rooms in the bunkhouse, Synalds and Caradoc have two bunks, catering for four in total and Novers has two single beds. The kitchen is fully kitted out with cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge. There is a shower and two toilets and a tumble dryer is available for those wet days.

Whatever your taste is in the outdoors, it is here for you to sample. The Long Mynd offers easy walks and bike rides for those coming to relax and more demanding hikes, rides and runs for the seriously fit. There are local stables where you can book horse riding for the hour or day.

Kinlochewe Bunkhouse is set amid some of the most magnificent scenery in the Highlands of Scotland at the foot of the dramatic Glen Docherty, home to the beautiful Loch Maree and with around 20 “Munros” and 20 “Corbetts” within easy reach. The “Beinn Eighe” National Nature Reserve is on our doorstep with the peaks of Slioch, Liathach and Beinn Alligin close by. The area is a paradise for walkers, climbers, photographers, cyclists, bird watchers … and for everyone who loves the wild outdoors.

The bunkhouse is an ideal base for budget conscious travellers. It has full self-catering facilities: range cooker, microwave, fridge, pots, pans, crockery etc. and ample space to eat and socialise in the kitchen area. The 12 bunks are all in one carpeted, centrally heated dormitory room and there are hot “Mira Sport” showers plus a dedicated drying room (should you need it!). You need to bring your own sleeping bag and towels.

Built circa 1876 this family run hotel stands proud in the heart of beautiful Snowdonia in the popular village location of Betws-y-coed. Ideally situated for all activities which draw you to the area, we believe that the hotel would be your perfect base. All of our 25 rooms are en suite and equipped with all expected modern day facilities & dogs are welcome to join you & we are family friendly, children stay free - or for those travelling on a budget we also have a nine bedroom bunkhouse adjacent to the hotel with its own drying room but of course with the use of the hotel facilities.

We have an excellent reputation for our food – all of which is home made & freshly prepared. Meals are served each lunchtime & evening but also all day throughout the weekend. Our bar is a favourite with locals & guests alike. We offer a wide selection of beers, lagers, spirits and wine but are also proud to be able to offer local real ales brewed only four miles away! The bar is also host to sports on TV of course but we hold regular open mic nights and karaoke, not to everyone’s liking but always good fun.
