They might not sit at the top end of the winter mountaineering category, but mountaineers (not climbers) might be able to get a season or two out of these 
well-priced gloves.

Instead of the leather you might expect on more expensive gloves, the Snow Sports feature a vinyl fabric that’s abrasion-resistant and extends over the fingertips for protection. There’s wrist elastication and a one-hand-op drawcord for closure as well as a degree of curve in the way the fingers are cut, though the vinyl palm covering does bunch uncomfortably when you clench a fist.
