The Endurance Trekkers are midweight socks designed for three-season use. They have dense terry loops throughout the foot and at the back of the leg with a thin flat panel on the front of the leg.
The toes and heel are reinforced. There are stretch bands at the ankle, instep and cuff, a Y gore heel and a flat, offset toe seam. The socks are made from Bridgedale’s hard-wearing WoolFusion mix of wool and synthetics. While not quite as comfortable as socks with much higher wool content this is really only noticeable when wearing different socks on each foot. Bridgedale makes a version called the Comfort Trekker with 50% Coolmax and 27% merino wool that is said to be more comfortable though not as durable. In use I can’t tell the difference in comfort. I haven’t used them enough to comment on the durability yet. I found the Endurance Trekkers just warm enough walking in snow and I think they should be good for year-round use except in very cold weather.
