These socks are unusual in containing Primaloft, more commonly found in insulated clothing. Fox River says that its blend of Primaloft and merino wool dries more quickly and wicks moisture twice as fast as merino wool alone.

I can’t say that I noticed any significant difference in drying or wicking time compared with socks with a high merino wool content. The socks have dense thick terry loops throughout, reinforced at the toe and heel. Above the toes there is a more open knit panel, still with terry loops, for ventilation. The legs are rib knit on the outside, which makes them stretchy so they fit closely and stay in place. There are stretch bands at the ankle and cuff, a Y gore heel and an offset flat toe seam. I wore the socks in the snow and found them warm and very comfortable. They should be fine for year-round use other than in the hottest weather. The price makes these socks good value for money.
