DARE2B Blow Out (£35)

TGO Rating 3.5 stars

The Blow Out is the least expensive garment tested. As it performs pretty well this makes it good value for money. It looks more like a cycling jacket than a walking one but that doesn’t affect its practicality.

The fabric is quite wind-resistant, slightly water-resistant and very breathable. The cycling cut means a long extended back and long sleeves. These have thumb loops and can be used to cover the backs and palms of the hands in chilly weather. The fit is on the slim side, the Medium size just fitting over a thin fleece but restricting movement a little. There are no pockets but a small stuffsack weighing 15 grams is provided. In keeping with the cycling design there’s a wide reflective pattern running round the jacket. The low cost makes the Blow Out worth considering if you don’t mind the cycling look.
