These low cost lightweight sandals are excellent value for money. I wore them for a three-day walk over Ben Nevis, the Carn Mor Dearg Arete, Carn Mor Dearg, Aonach Mor, Aonach Beag and the Grey Corries and found them comfortable and supportive with a good grip.

The design is minimalist with an open toe and three long Velcro-closed webbing straps for good adjustability. The ankle and heel straps are supported by rigid side pieces on the edge of the sole. There are raised edges at the heel and toe and sides to protect the feet. The straps hold the feet firmly in place and stop them slipping about. The footbed has a fine grid pattern and a series of parallel grooves to help stop the foot slipping about. This pattern is quite rough and was noticeable for the first few hours of wearing the sandals. I soon became used to it however so I don’t think it’s a major problem. Shock absorption is good, especially at the heel. The sole has a complex tread pattern that grips well. It’s also very flexible in every direction so these are not sandals for those who like any degree of stiffness in their footwear.
