Waterproof sandals sound bizarre but waterproof labels appear on the Venice H2 sandals, referring, I guess, to the non-absorbent properties of the fabrics. Strange claims aside, these are good sandals if you like ones with closed toes.

The big rubber toe bumper covers the toes and is hard enough that you can kick rocks with abandon. The webbing on the rest of the foot is quite narrow so ventilation is good. The fit is wide and I needed to tighten the lace before the sandals felt secure. The heel strap isn’t adjustable but when the lace is tightened it’s pulled in round the ankle. I’d still prefer some adjustment though. Comfort is good. The shaped footbed has a non-slip pattern and feels soft against the skin. Cushioning and grip are both excellent. The sole is quite flexible. The Venice H2 sandals are quite heavy but if you want good toe protection with ventilation for the rest of the foot they are a good choice.
