The Ringstind Light I is the only true single hoop tent tested in that it has no end poles or crossover poles. To solve the problem of low ends, the pole is off set from the centre of the tent so one end is steeper than the other and the
inner is long so only the tallest people are likely to push their sleeping bags against the low end.
The doors and porch run from the pole to the low end of the tent, presumably because this is the longest side, which means that if you pitch the low end into the wind, which is best for stability, there is no protection from the weather with the door open.
There’s a vent at the low end too, adjustable from the inner, and a vent high on the flysheet. Stability is reasonable, headroom excellent and the inner and porch are roomy. But the weight is quite high and there are excellent tents around the same price that are much lighter.
