The Micro Tarp is designed to be used with a bivvy bag and isn’t big enough to cover a sleeping bag completely.

The idea is that you pitch it over the head of the bivvy bag so you have a covered storage and cooking area. The main advantage of this approach is low weight. For me, however, this doesn’t compensate for the lack of space and having to use a bivvy bag. If you want a shelter for a bivvy bag the Micro Tarp is fine.
