Although called a Basha-Tent this is really a tarp. It’s square in shape with a reinforced hole in the centre through which you can insert the spike of a trekking pole to pitch it as a pyramid.

A shorter pole can be used to raise one side as a door. When pitched in other configurations a small piece of duct tape could be stuck over the centre hole to prevent rain entering. There are 17 webbing loops around the perimeter with rubber pegging loops attached. When these are pegged out the Basha-Tent is very stable. I’ve sat out a 24-hour storm in the Queyras Alps under the Basha-Tent and stayed dry and comfortable. It’s roomy enough for two; as a solo shelter it’s luxurious. The weight is very low for such a big shelter
