With trail running on the rise, Karrimor has released their D30 and Excel Dual running shoes for 2013.

The Karrimor D30 (£159.99, pictured) includes rubber outsoles with deep lugs, designed for traction on uneven terrain, a waterproof fabric outer, which also promises to be breathable, and a TPU arch shank for added foot support. These shoes also include a quick lace system (elastic laces with a pull toggle), D30 technology for shock absorption, a full-length softer-density ride line for extra underfoot cushioning, and a dual density midsole.

The Excel Dual (£139.99), designed for off-road trail runs, utilises a moulded outsole with deep lugs, a TPU shank, to the arch for support, and a gel cushioned heel for shock absorption. This model also features aegis microbe mesh lining, which promises comfort and odour prevention, a mesh upper for breathability, and reflective detail.

The shoes look great and I have no doubt they are great to walk in especially on rough ground, but the price is a bit steep in relation to the opposition.

Sound great - old feet can't wear boots now so these are just the thing. But at that price my pocket is going to be saying ouch !!
