This year’s Cliffhanger takes place on the weekend of July 3 and 4 at Millhouses Park in Sheffield.
Last year some 20,000 people attended the event, which is based in one of the city’s biggest green spaces and seeks to inspire and involve people of all ages.
Cliffhanger features competitions and demonstrations in a wide range of activities, including rock climbing, orienteering, kayaking, mountain biking, running, skiing and snowboarding, skateboarding, free running, adventure racing and more.
Visitors have the opportunity to watch elite sportspeople of all ages competing or demonstrating, and then take part in the sports they have just been inspired by.
This year, a round of the Bouldering World Cup is Cliffhanger’s headline event.
There will also be scuba diving, angling, kite flying, assault courses, caving, bargain gear, music, plenty of children’s rides and other activities, food stalls and more.
