KEEN’s new Basin WP boots (pictured) promise to keep your feet warm, by using 200g of charcoal bamboo, and prevent snow and slush penetration with a bungee draw lacing system and a waterproof membrane which also makes the boots breathable. A rubber outsole with tough lugs also guarantees reliable grip on icy surfaces. The Basin WP boots are available for £65.
The range also features the Kalamazoo High WP which claims to keep you warm, again using 200g of insulation, while blocking water penetration with a water-resistant leather and synthetic upper. The Kalamazoo also uses a dual climate rubber outsole which is designed to harden in cold temperatures for added traction. This product is available for £60 and is also equipped with adjustable hook and loop straps.
Finally, the Alamosa Mid WP – designed for children – promises to be water-resistant, by using a waterproof membrane in the leather and mesh upper which is fixed to the foot using a fit lace capture system. These boots, on sale for £60, are also available in a strap version with an adjustable hook and loop closure.
