Berghaus has extended its footwear range for spring/summer 2012 with the introduction of Exterra - a collection of three season boots.

Sitting between the Tarazed Fore-Tex 3/4 season boot and the Explorer family, the new boots fall into three distinct categories – Exterra Ridge GTX, Exterra Trek GTX and Exterra Light GTX.  The technical hiking range has been designed with the frequent outdoor adventurer in mind foranything from via-ferratas or long distance trails.

Slightly more generous than the Explorer boot collection, the last provides ample swell room, as well as room for hiking socks and liners.  With a more technical athletic fit, the Exterra series offers comfort over longer distances, while Berghaus claim the improved rocker reduces fatigue.

The Exterra Ridge GTX (RRP: £150), the flagship product of the Exterra range. It is a Gore-Tex lined, waterproof full grain leather boot. A  high abrasion mudguard surrounds the perimeter of the shoe. The 100% recycled Eco Ortholite shock absorbing insole, lined with ETC low friction mesh, is designed to prevent blisters improve comfort.

The Exterra Trek GTX (RRP: £135) pictured, is made from waterproof nubuck and high abrasion nylon Cordura. The external heel mounted EHS (Ergonomic Holding System) is injected with hard wearing TPU. 

The lightest in this technical hiking range is the Gore-Tex lined Exterra Light (RRP: £125) is designed for warm climates and seasons, and light, fast backpacking.
