Blacks claim credit crunch leads to camping surge

Retailer Blacks Leisure has announced that it has seen a boost in sales of outdoor goods in the past month.

Although the increase is partly due to sales of tents and other camping equipment during the summer music festival season, the company also believes that it is benefiting from the effect of the credit crunch.

They suspect that more British holidaymakers are choosing to spend their summer breaks camping at home rather than holidaying abroad, in an effort to save money.
